Payroll giving (also known as Give As You Earn in the UK) is a scheme that allows employees to donate to charity directly from their gross salary before tax is deducted. This means a £10 donation costs a basic rate taxpayer only £8. Payroll giving is regulated by HMRC and available to any UK employer.
