Still managing volunteer events across five different tabs?

Most CSR managers we talk to are running their programme from a spreadsheet, a shared calendar, and a lot of manual emails. Here's what that actually costs your team.

The old way
Tracking sign-ups manually in a spreadsheet that's already out of date
Sending reminder emails one-by-one, then chasing no-shows after the event
No clear record of who attended versus who just registered
Writing a fresh impact summary from scratch every quarter for the board
No approval flow — managers find out about events after the fact
With Kind Folk
Every sign-up captured automatically, with a live capacity counter
Automated confirmation and reminder emails the moment someone signs up
Three-step attendance flow: Registered → Approved → Verified — full audit trail
Hours, £ value, and SDG data logged per event, ready for your next board report in one click
Manager approval workflow built in — nothing gets published without sign-off

The whole volunteering workflow. One screen.

From creating an event to closing it out and reporting impact — no handoffs, no manual steps, no spreadsheet.

What volunteer event management actually gives you

Event Management

One-off events, campaigns & charity days

Create standalone volunteering events or group them into a named campaign — like an annual charity week or a seasonal initiative. Each event gets its own sign-up page, capacity limit, and attendance record.

Everything you need to run a proper event.

Capacity management with live tracking

Set a volunteer cap per event and watch it fill in real time. When capacity is reached, the event closes automatically. No over-booking, no awkward emails, no manual list management.

No over-booking. No awkward conversations.

Location, logistics & charity partner tagging

Add venue details, travel instructions, and the charity partner for every event. Employees get everything they need in one place — and your reporting ties activities to the charities you care about.

The right context for every volunteer.

Three-step approval workflow

Every sign-up moves through a clear flow: Registered → Approved → Verified. Managers approve their team's attendance. You close out with a verified record — no chasing, no gaps, no disputes.

Credible hours, every time.

Hours tracked and valued automatically

Each event logs the hours volunteered and calculates the £ value based on your organisation's hourly rate. That data feeds directly into your impact reports without any manual entry.

Your impact data, without the data entry.

Categories and SDG alignment per event

Tag every event with a category (Community, Environment, Education) and a primary UN SDG. At reporting time, your impact data is already structured — no retroactive tagging, no guessing.

Report-ready from day one.

How it works

We used to spend half a day just setting up a single volunteering event — the spreadsheet, the email, the calendar invite, the follow-up. Now it takes five minutes and the whole team knows what's happening without us having to tell them.

Frequently asked questions

Everything CSR managers ask before they sign up.

Does this work for organisations with multiple offices or locations?

Yes. Events can be assigned to specific teams, departments, or locations — and managers only see what's relevant to their team. You can run a company-wide event day with separate events per office, each with its own capacity, attendance tracking, and sign-up list. Everything rolls up into a single impact report across the organisation.

How does the approval workflow work for managers?

When an employee signs up for an event, their manager receives a notification to approve or decline the request. Once approved, the employee gets a confirmation. After the event, the manager or event organiser marks attendance as verified. You get a full audit trail — who registered, who was approved, and who actually attended — without sending a single email.

Can we set capacity limits? What happens when an event fills up?

Yes. Every event has a configurable capacity cap. When the event fills, it closes automatically — employees can't over-book. You can create a second session of the same event to accommodate additional demand without duplicating your reporting setup.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most CSR managers create their first event within 20 minutes of signing up. There's no onboarding call required and no implementation fee. You fill in your organisation details, invite your team, and you're ready to publish your first event. The in-app guide walks you through it step by step if you need it.

Can employees sign up themselves, or does an admin have to register them?

Both. Employees get their own login and can browse the full events calendar, sign up, view their upcoming events, and check their participation history. Admins and managers can also register employees directly — useful for team days where self-service sign-up isn't practical.

Is pricing per event, or flat-rate?

No per-event fees. Pricing is based on your organisation's size (number of employees), not how many events you run. You can create as many events, campaigns, and event series as you need on any plan. There's a free plan available for smaller programmes.

Your next volunteer event is 5 minutes away.
